Abstract

The current study aims to find out the relationship between time management methods and their impact on administrative creativity skills in public and private schools in the coast of Hadhramaut, and to identify the reality of practicing time management methods and administrative creativity. A questionnaire is used as a tool for the study, to collect data for a random sample consisting of (160) managers in the surveyed schools, the questionnaires were distributed to the managers of public and private schools in the coast of Hadhramaut, and all questionnaires were retrieved, as no form was lost, meaning that the response rate of the sample is (100%). Thirteen questionnaires were excluded for not answering correctly, and accordingly (147) questionnaires were adopted, all of which were valid for statistical analysis. And after analyzing the data for the answers of the study sample using the statistical program SPSS, the study arrives at the following results: there is a statistically significant relationship between time management methods in all its dimensions (management by delegation, management by objectives, self-management), and administrative creativity among school managers in the coast of Hadhramaut. In general, we find that the impact of time management methods on administrative creativity skills has reached 61% positively and significantly, which indicates that there is an impact of independent variables on creativity in the schools surveyed. The results also showed that school managers do not accomplish their work in a sophisticated and new manner, and do not have the ability to anticipate, plan and confront work problems in the school before they occur. The study recommends employing the availability of time management methods better than it is in a way that contributes to raising administrative creativity, in addition to training school managers on the skills needed to apply time management methods, addressing weaknesses and continuous development of time management methods skills, paying attention to internal and external training to enhance creative abilities, and adopting modern methods such as total quality management, and knowledge management, which would raise the level of administrative creativity.
