Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of academic and administrative leadership practice for transformative management leadership in Saba Region University from the point of view of academic and administrative staff in the university. The community of the study consisted of all academic and administrative workers in the university in the academic year 2021-2022. The total number reached (325), (242) were from academic staff, and (83) were from administrative staff. The sample of the study consisted of (107) members from academic and administrative staff who represents (33%) out of the total number of community of the study. (73) out of them from academic staff, (34) were from administrative staff. They have been chosen in a random and simple way from the community of the study. The study used survey and descriptive methodology due to its convenience to the nature and goals of the research. After data had gotten processed statistically with (SPSS) program, the results of the study showed that the degree of academic and administrative leadership for transformative management leadership in Saba Region University from the point of view of academic and administrative staff, and with its four fields (Ideal effect, inspired motivation, mental excitement and individual consideration) was mediam in general according to the certified criteria in classifying the degree of practice in this study.
The results also show that there are statistically significant differences between the degree of academic and administrative practice for transformative management leadership in general, sex variable and for females. Moreover, the study showed that there are no statistically significant differences between the degree of academic and administrative practice for transformative management leadership in Saba Region University and the variables (Job name, qualification, years of experience).
In the light of the results of the study, it is recommended that academic leadership must be reinforced with having the traits and characteristics transformative management leadership. Moreover, courses and training programs have to be held for preparing the leaders in the transformative management leadership in the university. Furthermore, it is recommended to establish a specialized institute for preparing leaders and to be trained on the modern administrative styles and how to lead the institutions at the time of subsequent technological developments.
