Abstract

This is an objective study that aims to know the approach of the Holy Quran in reinforcing self-pride. It uses a descriptive analytical approach for analyzing the Quranic verses related to pride, especially the Name of Allah “Al-Aziz” (the All-Mighty) through the objective approach in Quranic exegesis, which showed results that would enhance the feeling of the impact of the beautiful names on the soul and life by addressing the Name “Al-Aziz” (the All-Mighty). This clearly explains to us the amazing and unique steadfastness of the people of Gaza in their struggle, patience, steadfastness, and confidence in victory. The importance of the study lies in revealing the relationships between the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah with each other so that they interpret each other, integrate together, and each of them is completed in its independence in achieving the perfection of defining the Supreme Self of Allah. This is what was observed specifically in the Names “Al-Aziz Al-Hakim” (the All-Might, the All-Wise), and also in revealing the extent of the connection of events with all their details to the Beautiful Names of Allah, especially “Al-Aziz” (the All-Mighty) and the Names associated with it, and revealing the greatness of the Quranic approach in reinforcing the attribute of pride based on truth and justice, and developing it so that the sublimity and universality of Islam appear. The importance of conducting this research also comes from the circumstances that the Islamic nation is going through with this ongoing war on Gaza. The research concludes with the most important results: The Name of Allah “Al-Aziz” (the All-Mighty) is mentioned in the Holy Quran 88 times, and it is always mentioned in conjunction with one of the Beautiful Names of Allah. The Beautiful Names of Allah that are associated with “Al-Aziz” are as follows: Al-Hakim (the All-Wise), Al-Raheem (the Most Merciful), Al-Qawi (the All-Strong), Al-Aleem (the All-Knower), Al-Hamid (Worthy of all Praise), Al-Ghaffar (the Oft-Forgiving), Al-Ghafur (the Oft-Forgiving), Al-Wahhab (the Bestower), Al-Muqtadir (the All-Powerful), Al-Jabbar (the Compeller). The Name of Allah “Al-Hakim” comes first among the Names of Allah associated with the Name “Al-Aziz” with a percentage of 53.4%, followed by the Name of Allah “Al-Raheem” in the second place with a percentage of 14.7%. Contemplating in the Name of Allah “Al-Hakim” and observing His wisdom is the easiest way to know Allah by His Name “Al-Aziz”, as it is the best way for the believer to reflect the Name “Al-Aziz” on his behavior, and reach the highest possible degrees of glory according to his struggle and effort. The study also includes recommendations.
