Producers in various countries have recognized the importance of commercial advertising in its modern sense, in light of its evident efficiency in performing its marketing function, due to its intrinsic qualities that elevate it to being one of the most important means of stimulating demand for goods and services. Commercial advertising also reflects the cultural and value system of any society, as it encapsulates cultural, intellectual, and psychological connotations within its content. This study seeks to shed light on the most prominent aspects of commercial advertising in Yemeni legislation by defining commercial advertising, distinguishing it from similar concepts, and then explaining the types and means of commercial advertising. Furthermore, the study outlines the mechanisms of legal protection arising from deceptive and misleading commercial advertising. The study concludes with a general conclusion presenting the most significant findings and recommendations reached through this research.
