The Medical Journal of University of Saba Region is one of the university's scientific journals. It is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal, published annually in both electronic and print versions in December, with the possibility of issuing special editions upon the decision of the Editorial Board.
The journal accepts papers and research studies written in English.
It adheres to international standards of scientific publishing ethics, following the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and modern open-access standards.
The journal aims to publish and promote advanced medical knowledge by providing a trusted academic platform for researchers, academics, and health practitioners locally, regionally, and internationally.
It features original research, high-quality applied studies, and brief scientific reports covering various medical specialties, such as medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and other medical and health sciences.
The journal welcomes submissions from researchers within and outside the university, provided they have not been previously published. Articles are selected based on the originality, high quality, and scientific significance of their content. Research is published immediately upon acceptance by the Editorial Board. The journal operates under the direct supervision of the Deputyship for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University of Saba Region (Marib, Yemen). It is published as a single volume in English and carries an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN).
